Lung cancer diagnostics in value-based healthcare, a case study from Belgium

To enable value-based healthcare, several important steps are needed: design of a care pathway for a given disease, definition of a patient-centered outcome indicator set, systematic collection of relevant outcomes (including Patient Reported Outcome Measures or PROMS), and careful selection of case-mix variables. The aim of this project was to investigate if this is feasible in clinical practice for lung cancer patients. The topics can be found as follows:
