As the biggest state hospital in Thailand, Siriraj Hospital used to face many challenges common in public healthcare institutions: overcrowding, long waiting times and complex care pathways. But in recent years, Siriraj implemented innovative digital solutions, laboratory technologies and operating models that helped to improve the patient journey.

This “virtual site visit” showcases their progress in developing mobile apps for care services; self-payment kiosks; streamlined blood collection processes (including its drive-through collection services); robotic pharmacy dispensaries; laboratory automation systems that helps them to efficiently process roughly 5,000 sample tubes/day; and telemedicine and home medicine delivery offerings.
