Point-of-care diagnostics are now capable of providingĀ “laboratory quality” molecular pathogen detection capabilities for the ED and outpatient settings. Successful deployment enables a significant reduction in unnecessary multiplex respiratory pathogen testing, resulting in cost savings and improvement inĀ therapeutic turnaround time.
