Reinventing TB control: innovative solutions to a persistent problem

Ms Anura David, Senior Medical Scientist, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, has underscored the persisting diagnostic deficiencies within the tuberculosis care continuum. In her lecture she presents a multifaceted framework to bridge the global knowledge gap in tuberculosis – innovative diagnostic modalities, vaccine development, as well as public health strategies and socioeconomic interventions tailored to address this global health issue.
