He chairs the Hospital Infection Control committee and the Infection Control Advisory Group for multiple Gleneagles Hospitals. Dr Swaminathan is also the Program Director for Microbial Medicine and Infections Control in Chennai and Vice President of the Clinical Infectious Diseases Society of India, dedicated to high-quality patient care and robust infection control.

He currently serves as the Director of the Center for Critical Care Medicine at Bach Mai Hospital and holds significant academic leadership roles, including Chairman of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine at Bach Mai Nursing School; Deputy Chairman at Hanoi National Universityās School of Medicine and Pharmacy; Vice President of Society of Emergency, Critical Care Medicine, and Clinical Toxicology for Hanoi & the North and Secretary General of Vietnam Society of Emergency Medicine. A/Prof Sonās extensive educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from Ha Noi Medical University and a Ph.D. in Medical Science from Kanazawa University, Japan, complemented by a Certified Respiratory Therapist qualification from the USA. Fluent in English, he has contributed significantly as a main translator and editor for numerous international medical conferences and textbooks. Dr. Son is a sought-after invited speaker, having presented at prestigious international events such as EMS Asia, ICEM, ESICM, and the AKI&CRRT Symposium, covering diverse topics from prehospital care and trauma systems to multidrug resistance and COVID-19 response.
