Patient Based Real-Time Quality Control (PBRTQC) uses the statistical characteristics of a particular patient population(s) served by a laboratory using specific analytical platforms. PBRTQC is a significant step to integrating the laboratory into the hospital information system and to a bigger dataset with the ultimate goal of better patient outcomes.

Tony Badrick B. App Sc, BSc, BA, M Lit St (Math), MBA, PhD(QUT), PhD(UQ), FAIMS, FAACB, FACB, FAIM, Member Aust Maths Soc, FRCPA (Hon), FFSc(RCPA). He was Associate Professor, Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine at Bond University for 4 years before becoming the CEO of the RCPAQAP in 2015. Adjunct Professor School of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Griffith University, Honorary Associate Professor, National Centre for Epidemiology and Public Health ANU College of Health and Medicine and ANU College of Science, Honorary Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Bond University, Gold Coast, Visiting Fellow, Australian Institute for Health Innovation, Macquarie University. He was President of the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists (2003-2007) and Vice President of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (2011-2018), is Chair of the Education and Laboratory Management Committee of the Asian Pacific Federation of Clinical Biochemistry, a member of three International Federation of Clinical Chemistry Working Groups (Value of Pathology, Traceability, Analytical Quality), member of the Joint Committee on Traceability in Laboratory Medicine, and currently the Chief Examiner of the Faculty of Science of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Tony has also had published over 180 Papers and one book chapter (2 editions) in Health care management and chapters in Clinical Biochemistry texts (Tietz) and is Chair of the Document Review and Liaison Committee of the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Committee.

Niti has joined Roche Diagnostics in April 2017 to boost the Medical & Scientific Affairs team at the APAC office. She brings with her over 12 years experience in the field of Lab Medicine heading the Lab Services of various established Hospitals(~200-500 bedded) in New Delhi. She also has been a Visiting Hematologist at Clinipath Laboratories Perth, Australia. She holds MBBS, MD(Pathology) degrees from India and has been instrumental in setting up 3 Labs from scratch. Her core expertise lies in Hematology involving Peripheral Blood smear examination, Bone marrow examination and immune phenotyping of leukemias. Other areas of expertise involve Clinical Chemistry, Urinanalysis and Cytopatholgy. She has been involved in various accreditation audits involving various Quality assurance checks. Niti has joined the team at the APAC office primarily to support the Medical affairs relating Hematology, Coagulation, Blood screening and Critical Care biomarkers.

Amy Ho is the newly appointed Clinician and KOL Value Stream Lead, Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific (APAC), responsible for driving adoption of diagnostics solution across various disease management pathways, and to increase the engagement and collaboration with clinicians so as to improve value delivery of Diagnostics to healthcare systems. Amy has over 20 yearsā commercial experience in diagnostics industry with market experience in Hong Kong, China, and APAC region. She is exposed to various APAC healthcare environment and is an advocate on how value of diagnostics can make a positive impact to healthcare practices.
