Interferensi endogen dapat disebabkan\u00a0oleh kondisi fisiologis pasien. Sebaliknya, interferensi eksogen yang umum meliputi obat-obatan\u00a0dan faktor lingkungan. Imunosai secara inheren rentan terhadap berbagai jenis zat\u00a0pengganggu. Fibrin, antibodi heterofilik, reaktivitas silang metabolit, dan obat-obatan hanyalah\u00a0beberapa contohnya.
