Prof Tawesak Tanwandee, Division of Gastroenterology at Mahidol University’s Faculty of Medicine in Thailand proposes a strategic plan to enhance existing hepatitis C (HCV) testing and treatment protocols in response to the region’s significant HCV burden. Key recommendations include raising awareness among healthcare personnel and communities, and introducing affordable, comprehensive diagnostic tests to facilitate timely detection, treatment, and prevention of re-infection.
